How to check if your BISP payment is released (by CNIC)
There are two official, completely free ways to check your status. Both pull from the same BISP database and show the same result.
Method 1 — SMS to 8171
- Open the messaging app on your phone.
- Type your 13-digit CNIC number with no spaces or dashes.
- Send it to 8171.
- You’ll get a reply confirming your payment status, release information, or any verification you still need to complete.
Send the SMS from a mobile number registered under your own CNIC.
Method 2 — 8171 Web Portal
