BISP Installment Update 2026: Latest Amount, Schedule & Payment Method

If you depend on the Benazir Income Support Programme, you need to know exactly what’s changed this year — the new installment amount, when it’s being paid, and how it now reaches you. This is the latest BISP installment update for 2026, with only the confirmed facts and no rumours.

The current quarterly installment under the Benazir Kafalat Program is Rs 14,500. This was increased from the earlier Rs 13,500 by BISP ahead of the Ramzan 2026 cycle, to help families cope with rising inflation.

Two important clarifications, because misinformation spreads fast:

  • Rs 13,500 is outdated — it was the amount before the 2026 increase.
  • Rs 25,000 is not a real BISP installment — it comes from unofficial sources. Ignore it.

Looking ahead, the government has confirmed a further increase to Rs 18,000 per quarter from January 2027.

BISP pays on a quarterly rhythm — roughly January, April, July, and October — and each installment is released phase-wise, district by district, so the system doesn’t overload.

QuarterStatusAmount
Jan – Mar 2026CompletedRs 14,500
Apr – Jun 2026CompletedRs 14,500
Jul – Sep 2026Currently releasing (through 30 Sep)Rs 14,500
Oct – Dec 2026Expected around OctoberRs 14,500

Because payments roll out in phases, your neighbour may be paid before you — that usually means your district is simply in a later phase, not that there’s a problem. For a deeper look at release timing, read our BISP payment start date guide

There are two free, official ways to check — both pull from the same database:

SMS method: Type your 13-digit CNIC (no dashes) and send it to 8171. You’ll get your status in a few minutes.

Web portal: Go to 8171.bisp.gov.pk, enter your CNIC and the captcha, and click Check Status to see your eligibility, PMT score, and current installment.

The most important part of this year’s update isn’t just the amount — it’s the payment method. BISP is phasing out retail agents and cash campsites in favour of direct digital transfers:

  • Most beneficiaries now receive payments through a free Benazir SIM linked to a digital wallet, with deposits handled through JazzCash and Easypaisa.
  • Payment camps are closing gradually; money is sent to wallets or bank accounts instead.
  • This cuts out the illegal deductions that agents used to charge.

If you haven’t set this up yet, see our step-by-step Benazir SIM and digital wallet registration guide.

Some beneficiaries must refresh their data to keep receiving installments:

  • Families registered before 2021, or whose PMT score hasn’t been updated in three years, must complete a fresh dynamic survey at their BISP Tehsil Center.
  • An expired CNIC or mismatched NADRA record can block your payment.
  • Biometric verification is now required for wallet activation and withdrawal.

Skipping these can put a temporary hold on your money, so update early. Learn more in our NSER dynamic survey guide

Every BISP service is free. No fee for registration, survey, wallet, or “fast payment.” There is no double payment for a fee — the standard quarterly amount is Rs 14,500. Verify your own fingerprint; never let an agent handle your biometric alone. Report anyone demanding money to the free helpline 0800-26477. Rely only on the official BISP website the 8171 portal for confirmed updates. (Authoritative backlinks.)
